Chesapeake Bank is no stranger to our local farmers markets; our staff frequents local markets, as a bank we’ve participated in markets and we’ve talked about them on Facebook and in some of our newsletter communications, notably to our Clear Sky account holders through the Clear Skies Ahead email.
When shopping at a farmers market, you know that the goods you’re buying, especially food products, are freshly pulled, picked, chopped, baked and prepared. Compare that to the canned, mass produced, preservative-filled products at a big box retailer (not to mention unnecessary travel time which delays the product from getting to your hands).
For most of us, this weekend should be a great weekend to head out to an area farmers market and stock up on goods for the week.
Here is a list of local farmers markets in your area. Be sure to check the hours of each market before venturing out.
