At Chesapeake Bank, we love giving back to the communities we serve. One way we do this is by being a good neighbor.
At our new Westhampton branch in Richmond, one of the neighbors we’re lucky to have is The Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House, a home away from home for the families of patients at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital. The Reinhart House has helped more than 450 families since opening in June 2014 and welcomes all families regardless of their ability to make the suggested donation of $45 a night.
Now through December 1, you can support the Reinhart House and get a new piece of local art, all at the same time. We’re auctioning local artist Emily Herr’s “Party on the Avenues” mural now through Tuesday, Dec. 1, also known as “Giving Tuesday.” Bidding will take place at chesbank.com/auction through Dec. 1. The winner of the Party on the Avenues mural will be announced on Dec. 2. All proceeds from the auction will assist with covering day-to-day operational costs in addition to supporting patient’s families in their stay at the house.
“Celebrating the work of a local artist to benefit an incredible cause is exactly the type of work we get excited about at Chesapeake Bank,” said Frank Bell, our Richmond regional executive who has managed the bank’s commercial operation in Richmond since 2011. “It’s local, creative and grassroots-oriented, and we know it will make a big impact right here in Westhampton at the Reinhart Guest House.”
As part of the Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House’s established donor distinctions, if a bid rises above $1,000, the donor will become a distinguished member of the Guest House’s Fleur-de-Lis Society. Society members are invited to exclusive receptions, receive special recognition and know they are making an investment to improve the health of their communities.
