September, October, Nov… What??? How can it be fall already?! We know. It surely has gone by fast. But that means we have some AWESOME news to share with you.
You may remember last fall, when we ran a big holiday promotion. This was an effort to get our local business deals out there before all the Black Friday hoopla started up. Well, no surprise, it was a success. In fact so much so, we need a little bit more time to round things up.
We know you don’t want to think about what kind of deals you’re offering yet. BUT we’re going to give you a month to do it and then mention your business near and far during the month of November.
To refresh your memory we asked businesses to submit their holiday deals. Most of them were focused on the period between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday. There were definitely savings that were offered all month long. Some deals even ran through December! That’s okay!
Once we received the information we posted each deal on Twitter, then on Facebook. We hung a little queue card on our Instagram page, pointing deal seekers to the other platforms. On Facebook each post ran as an ad for five days which means it reached a much bigger audience during that time.
Then we also created a blog post with a roundup of all deals by region. This means that your name showed up AGAIN on Twitter and boosted on Facebook? Check it out: Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck, and Williamsburg. (We’re excited to see what Westhampton can contribute moving forward.)

Here’s what we need-
Take a little time to consider your offer. You may even want to check with your teams to hear their suggestions. Once you’ve decided on the deal come back and complete this form. This will ensure that we have all the information that we need to make your ad successful!
Also, we’re going to need an image to go along with your posts. Some images do better than others. So Facebook requires that the image is horizontal and it cannot have more than 20% text in the total image. If this confuses you, skip it and send us an image without any text at all. (Pics of the offer or storefront usually work fine.) We know you’ll need some more time to think about this or stage something, so when you get it together, email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
