Breaking new ground in Chesterfield

Written by Reggie Rossignol | Oct 30, 2019 7:56:00 PM

We’re excited to announce that we’re opening a new branch in the Richmond community — in Chesterfield, Virginia. The new branch will be located at 10000 Courtview Road and will offer a full suite of retail and commercial products. Construction begins this month, and the branch is expected to be open for business by the end of the first quarter of next year.

Tommy Adams, Commercial Loan Officer and Vice President of our existing loan office in Chesterfield, is overseeing the project. Tommy and his team will continue their operations at their current location until the branch construction is complete. Then they will join the new staff at the new location.

We first opened our doors in Richmond with our branch on Patterson Ave in 2015, and we love it here. “Our commitment to the community aligns well with Richmond’s culture, and we are excited to continue and deepen our relationships and footprint locally,” said Frank Bell, Richmond regional executive, who has managed the bank’s commercial operation in Richmond since 2011.

The Chesterfield office retail staff has been hired and is being led by a 20-year banking veteran branch manager, Tanja Brown.

If you’re new to us, know that we have a 120-year legacy in financial services that can be traced to our founding in 1900. Our Chairman, President, and CEO, Jeff Szyperski, was elected and just finished up serving as Chairman of the American Bankers Association.  He is also Chairman of the Virginia Bankers Association Education Foundation and serves on the VBA Board of Directors.

“It’s all about community” is our motto. As a community bank, we know that we’re only as strong as the communities we serve. So, we seek employees who also live out this message. We also have ‘The Buck Stays Here’ program, which promotes the businesses and non-profits that serve each of our markets.

Whether it’s in personal or small business banking, as an employee or an addition to our ‘The Buck Stays Here’ campaign, let us know how we can support you. You can call our Westhampton office at 804-939-6400.
