Harmony in the Making: Euphony Leadership

Written by Reggie Rossignol | Feb 22, 2022 7:34:42 PM

Some say that the key to success is doing something you love for a living. For Patrick O. Billups, Owner of Euphony Leadership out of Mathews, VA, his success is multiplied. Not only does he love what he does, he gets to solve problems for those doing what they love through his service and giving back.

Euphony Leadership (EL) is a consulting firm specializing in enhancing community, collaboration, and communication for individuals and organizations in public service. He says, ‘if your team has talent but morale is low, or you just need that spark again, we can help.”

EL has a core team of five and an extended network of over 100 consultants with different specialties. These consultants work with individuals and businesses to cultivate, create, and enhance visionary efforts through creative strategies.

Coaching through Euphony Leadership

Patrick says that what sets EL apart from other coaching programs is that instead of coming to “fix” your organization with theoretical concepts, his team listens to you first. They take in your success, challenges, goals, dreams, and get to know your staff. They also utilize the DISC assessment and other leading tools to build the plan.

The letters of DISC represent components of the assessment: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Contentiousness. The way his team facilitates the content is where the real value is. Unlike most DISC assessments, EL’s comprehensive reporting system offers zero-waste results. “We have a unique way of presenting the content to your team that will allow them to leverage it immediately. This will impact their home and family life positively as well,” says Patrick.

Businesses will also feel more like a community upon completion of the leadership program. “This is significant because when you’re a community, turnover is low, profit margins increase, work culture and climate is positive, task execution increases, and healthy creativity is cultivated,” says Patrick.

Partnering with the Business Life Center

Additionally, Patrick and the EL team created the Business Life Center (BLC), a 501c3 non-profit that offers business development resources such as facilities, equipment, workshops, technical assistance, and other services for no cost or below market cost.

The Unstuck Summit

EL contracts the BLC space to host events, like The Unstuck Summit slated in March. This summit is intended to help those who desire access to knowledge, exposure, roadmaps, accountability, and the confidence to show up for themselves in the same way they do for others to achieve their own goals.

“Individuals with vision, mid-level managers, and community leaders will appreciate the content and experience a major impact to their perspective when navigating people and necessary tasks,” says Patrick.

This event is held by zoom. Previous events are available for purchase online, and other events are scheduled for later in the year.

In the Day-to-Day

During the week, Patrick is also the Director of Social-Emotional Learning at Ware Academy, where he oversees the implementation of social and emotional learning in students. The program allows students to voice concerns and emotions without judgment. He says the principles that they use with the students in education are similar to what is used with organizations in leadership.

One of Patrick’s favorite quotes is by Steve Maraboli. “If somebody was watching your day-to-day behavior, would they be able to see what you’re working towards; what your goals are? If the answer is no, FIX IT!” Euphony Leadership is his solution to that problem.
