The regulations surrounding Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions are designed to protect you and those you do business with. The steps for each industry may vary but the guide provided by the National Automated Clearinghouse Association, otherwise known as “NACHA” is free and available for download.
As your financial institution, we care about your safety and the security of payments. At any time (not limited to audits), we can request documentation to confirm that processes are followed.
Failure to adhere to these regulations can result in penalties and even loss of the ability to operate a business. A misstep for one business can impact all businesses managed by an owner.
This publication will help you learn about the rules that govern credits and debits between company to company and company to consumer transactions.
The good news is you can jump to the rules specific to your industry and we’re here to help.
